We pride ourselves on being able to provide a safe and nurturing environment where former service personnel can work together to develop projects for the benefit of communities.

About The Shed

So, what do we do at the Veterans Shed? What is it all about?

A shed – you think it’s a place to hide of store things in. It’s not true in our case – it is a place for Veterans and like-minded people to have a chat and put the world to rights. We want your input!

We have a constitution that states we will help Military Veterans with daily chores and with their general well-being. We also help our local communities.

We meet most weekdays at our workshop at Crest Co-Operative on Douglas Road, Colwyn Bay. We also hold a meeting every Wednesday evening which is more of a chinwag, a brew and a catch up, all are welcome. This is currently held a Woody’s Lodge in Eirias Park at 7 pm.

The shed is a great place to meet and make friends! You say what you want to help with, carry out volunteer work at your own pace, you can even build/make things for your own personal use, maybe you have a particular skill or passion that you could pass on to us! there is NO pressure to attend our meetings.

Veterans Shed was founded in 2016 with James Caveney, John Johnson and Martin Margerison,  Our success is projected on our website as we go along.

How You Can Help

As a voluntary organisation, we can only afford to help our local community with the funds that we manage to gather ourselves. With that in mind, we would very much appreciate any donations you are able to give to us, no matter how small, as every penny counts!
